The Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC) attracts the top engineering students from across the province. A crucial goal of the competition is connecting students with industry. When this happens, both students and industry win. For this reason, a career fair is held each year in connection with OEC. It gives employers and universities the opportunity to directly meet with and market to a captured audience of some of the best young talent available.
The career fair at the University of Waterloo is being held centrally on campus in the Davis Centre (the main library). Not only will the fair be open to the competing students and spectators, but also to the thousands of UW students that use the library each day. The University of Waterloo has over 5,000 undergraduate engineering students.
